Key Responsibilities

The Wheelchair & Specialist Seating Service is dedicated to providing tailored assessments for individuals with mobility, postural, and pressure care requirements.

The Advanced Mobility Therapist will possess specialized expertise in evaluating and recommending wheelchairs, accessories, postural support, and pressure care solutions.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing a diverse caseload of clients with both routine and complex needs.
  • Conducting evidence-based assessments and interventions, utilizing advanced clinical reasoning skills.
  • Collaborating with engineers and product specialists to ensure optimal care for patients with mobility challenges.
  • Engaging in the ongoing enhancement of the Wheelchair and Specialist Seating Service.
  • Contributing to the education and training of peers and other professionals.
  • Implementing evidence-based practices and assisting in the development of clinical policies to elevate care standards.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Significant post-registration experience in health or social care settings.
  • Experience in conducting audits and delivering educational presentations.
