We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Dietetic Assistant to join our team at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Dietetic Assistant, you will play a critical role in supporting our dietitians and patients by providing exceptional nutrition support and administrative services.
Key Responsibilities- Assist dietitians in reviewing and monitoring patient cases, gathering clinical information, and calculating patient intake.
- Oversee the completion of daily menus for patients on therapeutic diets, working closely with catering staff.
- Participate in education and training of staff, including housekeepers, on aspects of nutrition and nutritional screening.
- Be responsible for ordering and supplying nutritional products to wards and outpatients, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring timely delivery.
- Assist with administrative tasks, including answering phone calls, entering patient data, and completing paperwork.
- Good general level of education up to at least A level (or equivalent)
- Study of subject(s) related to food/health/nutrition to at least A level standard (or equivalent)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work without supervision, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines
- Basic working knowledge of the NHS
