Project Engineer - Fabrication A&P Tyne

We are seeking a skilled Project Engineer to join our team at A&P Group Ltd, a global ship repair, conversion, and marine specialist with a proud history of quality-driven engineering and marine excellence spanning six decades.

As a Project Engineer, you will play a key role in the successful execution of pre-planned fabrication projects. You will work closely with our team of experts to develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical guidance and solutions to project challenges through reviewing and refining drawings and specifications.
  • Coordinate materials, tools, and equipment to meet project requirements.
  • Monitor, maintain, and report progress and financial achievement of the project.
  • Identify potential bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to keep projects on track.
  • Finalize and document all project paperwork, including arranging project wrap-up meetings.

Requirements:

  • Experience in an engineering/structural engineering/shipbuilding environment.
  • Qualification at HNC/degree in marine or a related discipline.
  • Commercial experience and knowledge of project management principles.

We offer a competitive salary based on experience, 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, 4% pension contribution, company health shield, and death in service benefit. Due to the nature of our work, some roles may be subject to security control restrictions. You will be required to undergo a Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) check before employment starts, which will include a basic DBS check.
