About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Flooring Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Hawkes Resourcing Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of commercial flooring projects, ensuring accurate cost management, and working closely with the Project Management team to provide timely estimates and tenders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage applications and variations for ongoing projects, ensuring seamless project execution.
  • Develop and implement detailed cost management strategies for all jobs, ensuring maximum efficiency and profitability.
  • Collaborate with senior management to ensure smooth project execution, identifying and mitigating potential risks.
  • Prepare and submit estimates for approval, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Manage tenders and bid documentation, ensuring compliance with company standards.
  • Conduct risk assessments and method statements for live projects, ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Place orders with suppliers and prepare job packs, ensuring timely delivery and quality control.
  • Perform site visits for measurements and estimating, ensuring accurate data collection.
  • Provide excellent customer liaison and communication, ensuring client satisfaction and loyalty.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience as an Estimator or Quantity Surveyor in commercial flooring projects, ideally within new build flooring.
  • Familiarity with Callidus Estimating Software or CAD is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and email.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Comfortable commuting to the Essex/East London area.
  • A proactive attitude with a desire to win business and contribute to the company's growth.
