CDJ Riverside is a dynamic and growing hospitality venture that is seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Manager to lead our restaurant and bar operations.

Job Summary

We are looking for a talented and motivated individual to oversee the day-to-day operations of our restaurant and bar, including staff management, stock control, and customer service. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in the hospitality industry and be passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operations Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the restaurant and bar, including staff management, stock control, and customer service.
  • Staff Management: Recruit, train, and manage a team of staff to ensure they adhere to company policies and provide excellent service to customers.
  • Revenue Growth: Develop and implement strategies to maximize revenue and profitability, including pricing, promotions, and cost control.
  • Quality and Safety: Maintain high standards of food and beverage quality, hygiene, and safety in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Financial Management: Monitor and analyze sales and financial reports to identify opportunities for improvement and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Menu Development: Collaborate with the kitchen and bar teams to develop menus, beverage offerings, and special promotions.
  • Customer Service: Handle customer complaints where necessary by resolving issues promptly and professionally to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Supplier Management: Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of goods and negotiate favourable terms.
  • Industry Trends: Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities to remain competitive and innovative.
Requirements
  • Experience: Proven experience as a Restaurant and Bar Manager or similar role within the hospitality industry.
  • Leadership Skills: Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
  • Business Acumen: Strong business knowledge and understanding of financial management principles.
  • Passion for Hospitality: Possess a genuine passion for food and beverage operations, including an attention to detail.
  • Flexibility: Flexibility is key, as you'll need to be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Cocktail and Allergen Knowledge: A sound knowledge of cocktails and allergens.
