About the Role

CDJ @The Riverside is seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Manager to lead our restaurant and bar operations. Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the restaurant and bar, including staff management, stock control, and customer service.
  • Recruit, train, and manage staff to ensure they adhere to company policies and provide excellent service to customers.
  • Develop and implement strategies to maximize revenue and profitability, including pricing, promotions, and cost control.
  • Maintain high standards of food and beverage quality, hygiene, and safety in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Monitor and analyze sales and financial reports to identify opportunities for improvement and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen and bar teams to develop menus, beverage offerings, and special promotions.
  • Handle customer complaints where necessary by resolving issues promptly and professionally to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of goods and negotiate favorable terms.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities to remain competitive and innovative.

Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Restaurant and Bar Manager or similar role within the hospitality industry.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
  • Display warmth and approachability to staff members.
  • Strong business knowledge and understanding of financial management principles.
  • Possess a genuine passion for food and beverage operations, including an attention to detail.
  • Flexibility is key, as you'll need to be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • A sound knowledge of cocktails and allergens.
