Central Despatch Operative

As a Despatch Operative, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth transition of our products from production lines to outloads.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with goods, scanning, and storing products and raw materials.
- Wrap, scan, and palletise products.
- Issue products to production teams to match production plans.
- Manual handling, including lifting equipment and products up to 20kg.
- Load and unload vehicles using manual handling equipment.
- Carry out all duties in line with training, food safety, and health and safety guidance.

Avara Foods is one of the UK's leading food businesses, supplying chicken and turkey to major supermarkets and well-known restaurants. We own and manage our entire supply chain, from farms to factory and all the way to the customer door. Our Hereford site is our largest, processing chicken products across two factory facilities, Grandstand Road and Yazor Road. We have approximately 1,500 employees and process 1.9m birds per week.
What We Offer:
- A competitive hourly rate of £11.90, plus shift allowance.
- A guaranteed minimum of £505 per week.

Requirements:
- Good level of numeracy and communication.
