The Data Architect is a key member of the Data Authority team within Architecture and Software Solutions at PXC. This role sits at the intersection of business and technology, driving the alignment of solution designs to good data management practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture and project architects to govern the formulation of solution designs at high level and in detail.
- Act as a subject matter expert in data modelling, data design and structure, guiding solution design to ensure development is in line with data architecture blueprints.
- Develop and continuously enhance the PXC Enterprise Logical Data Model (ELDM), ensuring alignment with industry best practices.
- Provide training and support to projects in adopting and applying the ELDM to their solution designs.
- Exercise decision rights with Lead Project Architects and the Data Authority Manager on solution design through the SRB (Solution Review Board) processes.
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of Master Data Management and data management and storage systems, with a focus on Microsoft Azure/Snowflake.
- Ability to design and enforce data infrastructure policies, procedures and processes.
- Experience in data analysis tools and techniques, with knowledge of cloud computing technologies.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication and presentation skills.
- Continual learning mentality to stay up-to-date on emerging technologies.
