Head of Service Charge Management

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our Senior Management Team as the Head of Service Charge. This is a key leadership role that requires a strong understanding of leasehold management and service charge legislation.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all service charge budgets and accounts are prepared accurately and within the required timeframes. They will also be responsible for managing the Transactional Service Charge Team, which includes Sales/Purchase Ledger and Credit Control functions.
The role involves holding key relationships with external stakeholders, including solicitors, banks, accountants, auditors, government bodies, suppliers, owners, and other industry bodies relevant to the service charge function. The candidate will also work closely with the Group Finance function to share best practice.
We are looking for a strong people leader with excellent management skills, highly motivated and organized, with the ability to prioritize and work with other senior colleagues to assist in moving our business forward. The ideal candidate will have strong IT skills, particularly with MS Office and advanced Excel skills. Experience using software such as Qube Property Management System would be a strong advantage.
The successful candidate will be a member of the Senior Management Team and will be responsible for contributing to the development of the company's strategy and direction. They will also be responsible for ensuring that the service charge function is operating efficiently and effectively.
