Pharmacy Coordinator

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our Pharmacy team as a Pharmacy Coordinator. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the safe and accurate dispensing of medicines to patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate the safe and accurate dispensing and distribution of medicines to patients, wards, departments, and other users.
• Work with Senior Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacists to ensure a safe and efficient Pharmacy service is provided.
• Use Pharmacy and other computer systems to carry out tasks in an accurate and timely manner.
• Assist in the recruitment of staff, delivery of key performance indicators, production of rotas, and error trend analysis.
• Assist in the training provision to all staff within the Dispensary team.
• Manage, supervise, and coordinate Pharmacy Assistants, including staff appraisal, work allocation, sickness management, staff appraisal, annual leave management, and acting as appointment panel member.
• Assist in the management and delivery of a near patient medicines management service to inpatients admitted to wards on ABUHB, hospital sites.
