Lead Software Quality Assurance Engineer

Salary: Up to £55,000

Work Arrangement: 3 days on-site & 2 days remote

As a successful candidate, you will oversee software quality assurance activities, focusing on testing application layers and Basic Software (BSW) components of the AUTOSAR classic stack at both Model-in-the-Loop (MIL) and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) levels for Verification and Validation purposes.

Your role will also involve contributing to integration testing and assisting the organization in automating testing processes.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute test cases for MIL, HIL, and similar testing methodologies. You should possess robust skills in software tools such as Matlab, Simulink, and Embedded C (including MISRA C).
  • Work effectively with both application and base software layers of the AUTOSAR Classic stack to create and execute tests.
  • Conduct static code analysis tests using tools like Simulink Test and Lint.
  • Manage and execute test cases utilizing Windchill or comparable tools.
  • Deploy and utilize dSPACE, leveraging your extensive knowledge and experience in delivering software scenarios through dSPACE Model Desk and APIs or NI tools (desirable).
  • Utilize tools such as ETAS INCA and Vector Canope, with a solid understanding of CAN protocols.
  • Familiarity with ISOLAR is a plus.
  • Write integrated software test cases and integrate application layer and BSW layer applications to create software builds for testing.
  • Experience with build servers (e.g., Bamboo, Jenkins) is advantageous.
  • Possess knowledge of V-cycle development and functional safety standards (ISO and ASPICE environment is desirable).
  • Work proficiently within Agile Scrum methodologies.
