Position Overview: We are looking for a Sales Assistant to join our fantastic team in Leatherhead. In this role, you will be instrumental in delivering outstanding retail service, ensuring that every customer enjoys a pleasant shopping experience. As a key member of our team, you will help maximize shop sales and profits while assisting in the smooth daily operations of the store, stepping in for the Shop Manager and Assistant Manager when necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with sales, stock management, and store organization.
- Maintain appealing displays and ensure the shop is tidy.
- Represent Age UK professionally, embodying our core values.
- Handle and lift stock bags weighing up to 10kgs.
Candidate Requirements:
- Experience in a customer-facing environment.
- Familiarity with cash handling procedures.
- Physical capability to lift and carry stock bags.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Willingness to work independently when required.
- Understanding of cultural sensitivities and commitment to equal opportunities.
- Flexibility to cover additional shifts for holidays and sickness, including participation in special shop events.
