Financial Accountant Role

We are seeking a full-time Financial Accountant to support our operations. As part of our finance team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring financial accuracy and integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze current and historical financial data
  • Provide financial insights to department leaders
  • Develop customized reports and financial analyses to influence business decisions
  • Manage accounts payable processes, including check creation and distribution
  • Support workers' compensation, business insurance, and annual audit processes
  • Assist in the annual accounting audit
  • Serve as the administrator for financial software systems
  • Onboard new employees into the financial systems
  • Maintain payroll tax documentation
  • Conduct job cost analysis and percentage of completion accounting
  • Prepare month-end closing reports, reconciliations, and journal entries
  • Assist in budgeting and cash forecasting

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a job cost environment or large-scale projects
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Experience in cash flow development and forecasting
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, preferably Sage 300 or Sage Intacct
  • Strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles
