We are seeking a highly skilled Actuarial Analyst to join our team at Lorien for a 6-month initial contract. As an Actuarial Analyst, you will play a crucial role in contributing to the specification, development, and testing of complex propositions or numerical models, analyzing a range of business data, and making recommendations to senior actuaries and/or senior management to support decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Model Development and Analysis: Contribute to the specification, development, and testing of complex propositions or numerical models, analyzing a range of business data, and making recommendations to senior actuaries and/or senior management to support decision-making.
  • Reporting and Communication: Contribute to the preparation of papers and reports for senior management and executives as required, with suitable supervision.
  • Actuarial Expertise: Act as an actuarial subject matter expert on strategic business or Group level projects to ensure specialist input is provided to business decision-making.
  • Communication and Stakeholder Management: Communicate effectively with a technical actuarial audience and simplify communications of technical issues to a non-technical audience.
  • Commercial Acumen: Applying commercial understanding of the business to ensure financial, business, and actuarial advice is aligned with the business needs.
  • Global Communication: Communicating complex concepts and recommendations to multiple stakeholders across the business both in the UK and potentially globally.
