About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Casual Approved Mental Health Professional to join our team at Oxfordshire County Council. As a key member of our Adult Services team, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals experiencing a mental health crisis in Oxfordshire.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Mental Health Act assessments to the highest standards, respecting confidentiality, choice, dignity, and privacy.
  • Contribute to service improvement initiatives by reporting areas for improvement and implementing changes in guidance and new ways of working.
  • Complete legal and other relevant reports and documentation to organisational and nationally specified standards, ensuring data completeness.
About You

We are looking for a trained AMHP from a recognised Community Psychiatric Nurse, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or Psychology background. You will have a valid warrant to practice as an AMHP and a commitment to continuing your professional development.

You will be passionate about following the professional standards of SWE and have a strong understanding of social justice and equality principles. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to work collaboratively with individuals, families, and other professionals to achieve positive outcomes.
