Position: Mechanical Maintenance Engineer


Join a reputable facilities management organization seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to support operations in a healthcare setting.


Role Overview:
The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for executing both planned and reactive maintenance tasks within a healthcare facility. This role involves collaboration with a dedicated maintenance team and senior personnel to ensure optimal functionality of mechanical systems.


Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and maintain mechanical equipment including pumps, motors, seals, and bearings.
2. Perform plumbing tasks such as unblocking toilets and replacing taps and washers.
3. Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) for temperature regulation and system performance.
4. Execute all aspects of mechanical and electrical (M&E) and fabric maintenance.
5. Maintain and update maintenance logbooks and documentation.
6. Follow Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance protocols.
7. Conduct installations and replacements of hot water cylinders, pipework, and boilers.


Qualifications:
- Mechanical qualification (City & Guilds Level 2 or equivalent)
- Proven experience in commercial building maintenance
- Multi-skilled with strong communication abilities
- Client-facing experience is advantageous
