Shifts: 3x12s Days/Evenings/Nights available

Itechpost is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab) team in our esteemed healthcare facility. As a Registered Nurse working in the Cath Lab, you will play a critical role in providing expert nursing care to patients undergoing cardiovascular procedures and interventions.

Key Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse:

  • Perform thorough patient assessments before, during, and after cardiovascular procedures, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
  • Administer medications and monitor patients during procedures, ensuring optimal patient safety and comfort.
  • Assist in surgical procedures and various cardiac interventional procedures such as angioplasty, stent placements, and electrophysiology studies.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and provide appropriate care and interventions based on their condition.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients undergoing cardiac procedures.
  • Educate patients and their families about pre and post-procedure care and lifestyle modifications.
  • Operate and maintain specialized equipment and instrumentation within the Cath Lab.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care within electronic health records.
  • Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols, ensuring a safe working environment for patients and staff.
  • Maintain continuing education and stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in cardiac care and technology.

Requirements of the Registered Nurse:

  • BLS Certification
  • ACLS Certification
  • NY RN License
  • 2 years experience
