Job Title: Buyer (Fire & Security Subcontract Labour)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Buyer to join our team at Johnson Controls International. As a Buyer, you will play a critical role in sourcing and procuring high-quality goods and services for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with the Procurement Manager and Category Managers to develop and implement sourcing strategies that meet business requirements.
  • Negotiate prices and contracts with suppliers to achieve cost savings and meet business targets.
  • Manage commercial and contractual interactions with external companies, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain key supplier partnerships, driving long-term working relationships that benefit both the supplier and Johnson Controls International.
  • Support the creation of supplier partnership business plans, based on internal requirements, supplier market analysis, and cost models.
Requirements:
  • Experience in a Procurement (Direct or Indirect) role, preferably in Fire & Security Subcontract Labour.
  • Ability to influence internal partners, external suppliers, and work within defined processes and timescales.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to gather and analyze commercial and numerical data to drive category and supplier decision-making.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Procurement processes, including eProcurement suites.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and flexible, with a drive to 'make things happen' and create opportunities.
  • Able to handle multiple responsibilities and work independently where necessary.
  • Experience working within a team to achieve both individual and common goals.
  • Confident communicator with partners at all levels, and strong presenting skills.
  • Organised with attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:

CIPS qualified and experience in Fire & Security Subcontract Labour industry, although not essential.
