Position Overview: We are thrilled to present an exceptional opportunity for a Senior Genomics Data Scientist. This role is pivotal in leading various projects focused on the analysis and interpretation of cancer genomes, collaborating closely with external researchers and industry partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage comprehensive cancer genome analysis initiatives within our research framework.
  • Contribute to the formulation and execution of best practices in genomic analysis.
  • Oversee complex genomic analysis projects from inception to completion.
  • Conduct benchmarking assessments for tools utilized in the processing, analysis, and interpretation of whole genome data.

Qualifications: We seek a candidate with extensive knowledge in cancer genomics, particularly in understanding tumor drivers and interpreting genomic data through targeted pathways. Proficiency in Python for effective data processing and analysis is essential, along with hands-on experience in crafting high-quality, reusable code. A strong command of Git and CI/CD methodologies is also required.

Education and Experience: A PhD or equivalent practical experience in a relevant industry setting is necessary. Experience in leading a cross-functional analytical team in either an academic or industrial context is highly desirable. A solid grasp of biomedical challenges and a dedication to producing high-quality code are critical for success in this role.
