Maintenance Engineer - Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Detail 2 Recruitment Ltd. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for providing effective and efficient mechanical and electrical support throughout our factory.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carrying out engineering activities to minimize downtime and ensure optimal machine performance
  • Maintaining Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and safety standards within the Engineering Department
  • Implementing and ensuring compliance of engineering processes within the team
  • Planning and monitoring machine performance to ensure maximum efficiency
  • Working with the Planning Department to negotiate machine availability and minimize disruptions
  • Supporting external contractors and providing technical support for production when required
  • Maintaining the highest standards of housekeeping and adopting a clean-as-you-go policy
Requirements:
  • Experience of FMCG operations and relevant engineering qualification
  • Able to prove competency in all forms of isolation, electrical safety, and safe panel entry
  • PC literate and able to use computer-based maintenance systems
  • Able to strip machines in full and reassemble them, as well as completing machine size change procedures and their adjustments
What We Offer:
  • Salary up to £45,000
  • 4 on 4 off (2 days & 2 nights) shift pattern
  • NO SATURDAY NIGHTS - DAY SHIFT 6-2 ONLY
