Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Database Analyst to join our Surveillance Governance and Controls team at ICBC Standard Bank. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing technical analysis during rule reviews to ensure an accurate understanding of rule logic and parameters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with rule reviews and perform technical analysis to ensure accurate understanding of rule logic and parameters.
  • Assist with parameter assessments and above and below the line testing.
  • Formulate testing approaches, test plans, and test cases.
  • Assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Assist with root cause analysis and follow-up of corrective action in relation to data gaps or other data-related issues.

Requirements:

  • Strong technical experience in database query and code review.
  • Good knowledge of SQL.
  • Technical understanding of Surveillance systems across market abuse and financial crime risk.
  • Good understanding of business change and software development life cycles.
  • Wholesale or Commercial banking background.
  • Mandarin language skills are a plus.
  • Flexible mindset and ability to deliver quality work product.
