Position: Security Officer

Role Responsibilities

What does the role of an Airport Security Officer entail?

As a Security Officer, you will be integral to maintaining a secure environment for all passengers. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting thorough searches of cabin baggage and passengers as needed at the security checkpoint
  • Utilizing advanced security technology, including X-Ray machines and body scanners
  • Monitoring and patrolling the terminal area
  • Verifying staff identification and passenger boarding passes prior to security clearance
  • Providing exceptional service by welcoming guests and assisting them throughout their journey

Please note: This position will remain open until sufficient applications have been received.

Qualifications for Success

No prior security experience is necessary, as we provide comprehensive paid training. However, experience in a fast-paced, customer-oriented environment is advantageous. We seek candidates who demonstrate enthusiasm, a proactive approach, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service. As representatives of MAG, it is essential to present yourself well, be punctual, and maintain a keen attention to detail.

Important: All applicants must possess perfect color vision, and the role involves extended periods of standing, bending, walking, and manual handling. Candidates are encouraged to take a free online color vision test.

Successful candidates will receive a conditional offer pending completion of pre-employment checks and a fully paid initial training course (40 hours, Monday to Friday). These checks include a Criminal Record Check, verification of a 5-year employment history, and a Counter Terrorism Check. A face-to-face medical appointment will also be required.

Due to the nature of our security protocols, we are unable to consider applications from individuals who have not resided in the UK for the past three years.
