Are you an experienced Estimator in the civil engineering field seeking a new challenge?

Pertemps TM is pleased to partner with a prestigious Tier 1 Main Contractor to find a Lead Estimator for their operations in the South West.

This organization is engaged in a variety of projects spanning Rail, Infrastructure, Construction, and Heavy Civil Engineering.

In this pivotal role, you will oversee the Pre-Construction team, managing estimating contracts and projects during the pre-contract and tender phases for diverse multidisciplinary rail and infrastructure initiatives.

Despite current market conditions, the company continues to thrive and is involved in some of the most significant projects in the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed estimates and assess project costs
  • Identify and manage financial, technical, and contractual risks
  • Enhance gross profit margins to meet contractual obligations
  • Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing team
  • Assist the bidding team throughout the tendering process
  • Provide regular updates and forecasts regarding project status

Essential Qualifications:

Demonstrated experience as an Estimator within the rail or civil engineering/infrastructure sectors is essential, particularly with multidisciplinary projects and frameworks.

This position may be suitable for individuals who are comfortable with remote work arrangements, with occasional travel for business meetings as required.
