Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manufacturing Operations Manager to join our team at Workforce Staffing Ltd. As a key member of our Paintshop team, you will be responsible for assisting site management in operational technical cleaning activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Management: Assist in the management of all operational cleaning activities to provide timely delivery of services to a standard that exceeds customer expectations.
- Resource Management: Manage operational resources for efficient working, both as teams and as individuals, supporting capacity and resource planning activities where necessary.
- Team Supervision: Actively assist the Paint Shop Manager and other Site Contract Managers by maintaining robust and close supervision of the team.
- Investigations: Investigate employees for misconduct, gross misconduct, and other behavioral issues that arise, including breaches of Health & Safety regulations.
- Scheduled Activities: Ensure the timely delivery of scheduled cleaning activities.
- KPI Reportage: Support the provision of input to KPI reportage on a timely basis.
- Health & Safety: Ensure that cleaning operations are undertaken in a safe manner, with a special focus on ensuring:
- Risk assessments and method statements are available.
- All necessary current best practices are available and used.
- All necessary visual aids are available and used.
- Staff are thoroughly trained in all safety aspects relating to their job.
- Health & Safety Regulations are followed regarding the safe use of Plant and Equipment.
- Training and Development: Maintain a working knowledge of Company HR processes, ensuring they are carried out correctly, and both seeking support from, or providing support to, either management and/or Human Resources where necessary.
- Customer Quality Standards: Establish and maintain a clear understanding of customer quality standards and operate audit processes that ensure both Customer and company expectations are met.
- Customer Satisfaction: Participate in regular reviews of services provided in conjunction with the customer to determine the extent of customer satisfaction being achieved.
- Company Systems: Establish and maintain a working knowledge of Company systems and endeavor to ensure adherence to these, paying special attention to Operating Systems and processes for timely delivery of services to the required standard.
- Equipment Procurement: Assist in the procurement of capable and reliable plant and equipment where requested to do so.
- Service and Maintenance: Comply with all service and maintenance arrangements for the equipment used for cleaning.
Requirements:
- Health & Safety Management Systems: Knowledge in Health & Safety management systems.
- Lead Quality Auditor: Certified Lead Quality Auditor for 1st and 2nd parties.
- Problem-Solving Techniques: Understanding and application of problem-solving techniques (8D or similar).
- Driving License: Full Clean driving License.
- Customer Interaction: Handling customer complaints and queries face-to-face.
- Industrial Cleaning Environment: Managing in an industrial cleaning environment.
Desirable Qualifications:
- COSHH: Knowledge of COSHH.
- IOSHH Managing Safety: IOSHH Managing Safety qualification.
- Delegation: How to delegate effectively.
- Degree: Degree in a relevant field.
