Senior SPV Financial Accountant

We are pleased to announce an exceptional opportunity for a permanent, full-time Senior SPV Financial Accountant to become a vital part of our team. This position entails a commitment of 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with the majority of work being conducted remotely. However, attendance at the office may be necessary on occasion, along with potential travel for project-related meetings.
The successful candidate will oversee and manage the financial and investment components for designated sectors of the organization. This role is crucial in ensuring that financial management functions are executed proficiently and adhere to company policies and protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Management: Ensure the implementation of appropriate systems, processes, and controls.
- Prepare quarterly management accounts utilizing Excel and Sage data, including thorough reviews of accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations.
- Review and authorize monthly bank reconciliations, quarterly VAT returns, and annual corporation tax filings.
- Guarantee adequate cash funding for all bank accounts.
- Update financial models biannually for forecasting and budgeting purposes, including analysis of economic assumptions.
- Conduct monthly cash forecasts and recommend supplier payment schedules.
- Compile Annual Statutory Accounts in IRIS for audit purposes and manage the audit process to meet filing deadlines.
- Deliver comprehensive reports that meet both internal and client expectations.
- Provide insightful financial advice to investors to aid in strategic business decisions.
- Engage in continuous improvement initiatives across all facets of financial management.
- Participate in ad hoc duties, including project variations and financial reporting for stakeholders.
Commercial Management:
- Support compliance with contractual obligations across all agreements.
- Foster effective working relationships with clients and key stakeholders throughout the organization.
Essential Skills and Knowledge:
- Professional Accountancy qualification (CIMA/ACCA/ACA).
- Experience in preparing Statutory Accounts.
- Technical accounting expertise, including FRS102.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Experience with management accounts and commercial frameworks.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Capability to build and maintain effective working relationships.
Desirable Skills and Knowledge:
- Post-qualification experience.
- High standard of written and presentation skills.
- Resilient team player with enthusiasm and drive.
- Experience with Sage Line 50 and IRIS software.
- Proficient in Excel.
