Job Title: People Advisor

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced People Advisor to support the Children's Services North region at Barnardo's.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will work closely with the People Business Partner to provide HR support in a varied generalist role, focusing on employee relations, sickness absence management, change management, and HR-related training.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide employee relations casework advice and guidance, including supporting disciplinary, grievance, and performance management processes.
  • Offer guidance on sickness absence management.
  • Support change management initiatives.
  • Deliver HR-related training to managers.
  • Contribute to people projects aligned with Barnardo's strategic priorities.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have significant experience as a People Advisor, a proven track record of operational HR, and sound knowledge of UK employment law. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, a solution-focused approach, and the ability to foster collaborative working relationships are essential.
