Job Summary

Supporting Smoking Cessation in Secondary Care

Via Westminster Drug Project is seeking an experienced smoking cessation advisor to join our team in Redbridge. As a Specialist Smoking Cessation Advisor, you will play a crucial role in supporting pathways and clinics in secondary care settings to help patients quit smoking.

The Role

  • Develop and implement new clinics and satellites within secondary care settings to promote smoking cessation services.
  • Deliver evidence-based smoking cessation programs, including behavioral, pharmacological, and 'swap to stop' pathways.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with secondary care partners to ensure effective promotion and management of clinics.
  • Contribute to the service meeting key performance indicators, including quit rates and patient outcomes.
  • Record-keeping and data analysis to evaluate the effectiveness of smoking cessation services.
  • Support other activities that promote the service and the benefits of quitting smoking.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have experience in smoking cessation, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. You will also need to be committed to improving the health and wellbeing of Redbridge residents.
