Clinical Specialist in Dementia Care

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dementia Specialist Nurse to join our team at Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Memory Assessment Service, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with dementia and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Triage and Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of patients referred to our service, using your expertise to identify the most effective treatment pathways.
- Diagnosis and Treatment: Deliver accurate diagnoses and provide evidence-based treatment interventions to patients with dementia.
- Clinical Supervision: Provide clinical supervision and appraisal to team members, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to deliver outstanding care.
- Leadership and Development: Contribute to the development of our service, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient outcomes.
- Qualifications: Current NMC registration and a dementia-related qualification or current study towards.
- Experience: Proven experience of delivering diagnosis and treatment of dementia, with a strong understanding of cognitive assessment and clinical supervision.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
