Located at our Oxford facility, this position is crucial for overseeing our premises that support our Manufacturing, Engineering Research and Development, Service and Maintenance, and E Lab Clinical teams, providing them with specially designed work environments for the production, servicing, maintenance, training, and research of our medical devices and their applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establishing a proactive, reactive, or preventive maintenance strategy, including the upkeep of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.
  • Coordinating and organizing essential operational services such as utility management, waste disposal, and security measures.
  • Managing contracts related to insurances, utilities, and operational services.
  • Overseeing and directing the maintenance and enhancement of all OrganOx facilities in the UK to ensure minimal disruption to core business functions.
  • Supervising contractors and ensuring compliance with work permits, verifying that tasks assigned to staff and contractors meet the required standards.
  • Facilitating visitor management on-site.
  • Being prepared to respond to or manage an appropriate reaction from an alternative individual or service provider in case of out-of-hours emergencies, such as intrusions, fire alarms, vandalism, or other unforeseen incidents.
  • Ensuring effective communication of all relevant projects and ongoing work to the Operations Team on a monthly basis to support Senior Management meetings.
  • Conducting regular in-house fire safety inspections on a weekly and monthly basis, including checks on fire alarms, refuge points, and fire extinguishers.

Required Skills:

  • A proven background in facilities management, ideally within a manufacturing context.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities developed through experience in a high-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Possession of an NQF Level 6 qualification (Degree, Degree apprenticeship, or BTECT advanced professional diploma) in a relevant field.
  • A recognized qualification in Engineering, Building Services, or Facilities Management.
