Role Overview

We are in search of a Portfolio and Governance Manager within our Global Technology division, a pivotal role in our ongoing transformation aimed at enhancing client impact and value delivery. This position is essential for ensuring that technology investments align with the company's strategic goals, business objectives, and technical roadmap.

This role will be part of a global team, and we prefer candidates who can operate within Central European hours.

Key Responsibilities

This role requires a collaborative spirit and a technical mindset, with a strong commitment to quality delivery. Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing and managing the overall technology portfolio budget, ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives and the technology roadmap.
  • Establishing and enforcing governance processes, policies, and standards for portfolio management to ensure consistency and compliance across all technology initiatives.
  • Building and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and cross-functional teams, including business leaders and technology executives.
  • Administering Portfolio Management tools and developing solutions tailored to business needs.
  • Conducting regular performance analysis and reporting on portfolio metrics against KPIs and expected benefits.
  • Identifying and mitigating risks associated with the portfolio through effective risk management strategies.
  • Developing and maintaining IT governance policies and procedures, with ongoing monitoring and analysis of risk and compliance.
  • Fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the portfolio management team, while staying updated on emerging technologies and industry best practices.
  • Leading or contributing to projects within the global team.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in managing complex, cross-functional technology portfolios and initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a knack for data analysis and informed decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of collaborating effectively with diverse teams and presenting complex information to executives.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies, risk management, and portfolio governance practices.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cost-benefit analysis.
  • Familiarity with analytics and process design, governance, and Agile methodologies.
  • Knowledge of vendor management and procurement processes.
  • Understanding of relevant industry standards, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Certification in Atlassian Software (Jira, Confluence, etc.) is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other project management tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
  • Project Management certification is an advantage.

Educational Background

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field; an advanced degree is a strong asset.
  • 8-10 years of experience in technology portfolio management or related roles in a global corporate environment.
  • At least 3 years of experience in Atlassian Software administration and support.
