Horizon Teachers: Seeking a Dedicated Learning Support Assistant

We are working with an Ofsted Good rated school in North Croydon, South London, to find a capable Learning Support Assistant to join their team.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to make a positive impact on the educational journey of a child.

The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide individualized support to students with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-to-one support to students with special educational needs
  • Assist teachers with lesson planning and delivery
  • Help students with their academic work and provide additional support as needed
  • Communicate effectively with teachers, students, and parents to ensure a smooth and supportive learning environment
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong understanding of special educational needs and how to support students with these needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
