Senior Governance and Regulatory Specialist

About the Role
In this senior governance role, you will be responsible for ensuring that the Guinness Partnership has in place effective governance and regulatory compliance arrangements to support the direction and control of the organization. You will work closely with senior stakeholders to provide complex, technical governance and regulatory advice, and support the full cycle of Committee business.
Key Responsibilities
- Proven experience of acting in a senior governance role in a medium-sized or large organization, preferably in the social housing sector
- Experience of taking clear and concise minutes of Board/Committee meetings, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail
- Experience of providing complex, technical governance and regulatory advice to Board members and Executives, with a focus on strategic decision-making
- Proven experience of managing or supporting reviews of governance arrangements, policies, procedures, and documentation, with a focus on compliance and risk management
- Proven experience of managing compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, with a focus on regulatory affairs and risk management
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, with a focus on Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Excellent oral and writing skills, with a focus on communication and stakeholder engagement
Essential Qualifications
- Educated to degree level, preferably in a relevant field such as law, business, or governance
Desirable Qualifications
- Chartered Secretary (Associate or Fellow of the Chartered Governance Institute), with a focus on governance and regulatory compliance
- Company secretarial / governance experience with a medium or large social housing provider, with a focus on compliance and risk management
