Job Description:

Our client, a leading provider of recruitment solutions, is seeking a skilled Housing Officer to join their team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the allocation of properties, ensuring that management of void properties is carried out in line with allocation policy and voids procedures, to minimize void rent loss and other costs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the allocations process, including nominations, mutual exchanges, and transfers, ensuring the voids and lettings systems are maintained on the Housing Management System.
  • Ensure compliance with social housing regulations and policies.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with customers, stakeholders, and colleagues.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement risk management strategies to minimize potential threats.
  • Manage financial resources, including budgeting and financial reporting.
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working in social housing, with a strong understanding of allocation policies and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer service.
  • Proficiency in using Housing Management Systems and other relevant software.
