**Job Summary**

Temp Station Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Transport Planning Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our operations department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth execution of our freight forwarding services.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Assist in planning and coordinating transportation routes to meet customer needs and exceed expectations.
  • Communicate effectively with operations teams, customers, and hauliers to ensure seamless logistics operations.
  • Manage and upload Proof of Delivery (POD) documents into our Transportation Management System (TMS).
  • Monitor and maintain accurate records of transportation and subcontractor activity.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by responding to queries and resolving issues in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with drivers to ensure timely delivery and resolve any issues that may arise during the shift.
  • Contribute to process improvements and implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Book out-of-area or hazardous jobs onto the pallet network/Hazchem portals.
  • Provide internal and external quotes, and assist with holiday cover for planners.
  • Assume lead planner responsibilities during periods of annual leave.

**Requirements:**

  • At least 3 years' experience in a fast-paced transport department.
  • Strong understanding of drivers' working hours and driving time regulations.
  • Excellent geographical knowledge of the UK road networks.
