StepStone Infrastructure & Real Assets ("SIRA") is a worldwide team dedicated to assisting institutional investors at all stages of their infrastructure and real assets investment strategies. This includes both new and existing investments in sectors such as infrastructure, timber, agriculture, and energy. Our investment professionals possess extensive experience in infrastructure and real assets, with teams located in Canada, the US, the UK, and Australia.
Position Summary:
The Analyst role within StepStone Infrastructure & Real Assets involves providing analytical, modeling, and transactional support to SIRA's local and international teams. This position is crucial in advising clients on investments in infrastructure and related real asset sectors on a global scale.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and refine complex financial models, analyze financial statements and forecasts, prepare valuation bridges, conduct discounted cash flow analysis, assess comparable public companies, and perform sensitivity/scenario analysis.
- Prepare and write comprehensive memos and presentations.
- Conduct thorough research and due diligence on potential investment opportunities and sectors, including primary funds, secondaries, co-investments, and direct investments.
- Articulate and defend investment decisions effectively, both verbally and in written materials, particularly in team settings and during Investment Committee meetings.
- Engage with clients and prepare advisory materials as needed.
- Assist senior staff in sourcing and managing the flow of investment opportunities.
Qualifications:
- 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in investment banking, project finance, professional services, investment management, or related fields.
- A Bachelor's degree or MBA (or higher) in a relevant discipline such as Business, Finance, Engineering, or Economics.
Desired Skills and Attributes:
- Adaptability to a dynamic and entrepreneurial work environment, with expectations to perform various functions.
- Exhibit a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Proficiency in German, Italian, or French is a plus.
