Role Overview:
We are in search of a seasoned Senior Cost Management Specialist to become a vital part of our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in cost and contract management within the joinery and partitioning sector, ensuring effective financial oversight of our diverse project portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all facets of cost management for joinery, partitioning, and manufacturing projects.
- Develop and present comprehensive cost plans, budgets, and estimates for various projects, including office refurbishments, retail spaces, warehouses, and hospitality venues.
- Facilitate regular project meetings and client consultations to ensure clear communication and project alignment.
- Track and manage project expenditures, ensuring compliance with budgets and financial objectives.
- Collaborate with project management and installation teams to ensure swift preparation of quotations and efficient site operations.
- Ensure all projects meet SMSTS and SSSTS compliance standards through certified supervisors.
- Maintain active and reliable participation in local community initiatives, including the training and employment of local apprentices.
- Provide integrated framing solutions through SFS and LSS systems.
Candidate Profile:
- Demonstrated experience as a Quantity Surveyor in joinery, partitioning, or a related discipline.
- In-depth knowledge of cost management, budgeting, and financial reporting.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management capabilities.
- Keen attention to detail and a commitment to delivering superior quality work.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Proficiency in quantity surveying software and tools.
Qualifications:
- Relevant qualifications in quantity surveying, construction management, or a related field.
