Job Title: Senior Project Planner

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Planner to join our team at Cyclife Aquila Nuclear. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the planning and monitoring of projects throughout all stages, working closely with the project team to develop efficient project methodologies and execute timely project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established standards.
  2. Prepare detailed cost forecasts, including EAC calculations, risk assessments, and contingency planning.
  3. Create and implement a Project Controls Plan that outlines best practices and procedures for estimating cost control, planning, scheduling, and risk management.
  4. Analyse and interpret schedule variances, including critical path identification and forward loading techniques.
  5. Provide accurate and timely Earned Value Management (EVM) data to track project progress, performance, and cost control.
  6. Identify and communicate project deviations, slippage reports, opportunities, mitigations, and risks to the project team.
  7. Establish and maintain a culture of process compliance, providing training, coaching, and support to project teams.
  8. Monitor adherence to processes and identify areas for improvement, implementing necessary adjustments to maintain consistency and optimise efficiency.
  9. Collaborate with the project team to identify and address project risks, ensuring timely mitigation strategies are agreed and captured in the project schedule.
  10. Develop and implement effective labor planning strategies to ensure optimal resource utilisation throughout the project lifecycle.
  11. Support business improvement initiatives and contribute to a diverse and inclusive work environment.

Requirements: The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of project control principles and techniques, including proficiency in budget and spend management, change control, data analysis, and trend analysis. They will also have experience working with Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project, as well as a strong understanding of commercial and financial aspects of project management.
