TimePlan Education is looking for a dedicated and passionate Psychology graduate to join our team as an Educational Support Specialist.

This position presents a remarkable opportunity for a recent graduate to acquire essential experience in an educational environment, assisting both mainstream and Special Educational Needs (SEN) students.

The selected candidate will collaborate closely with educators and support staff to foster student learning and growth.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist classroom educators in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
• Provide individualized or small group support to students, including those with SEN, to facilitate their academic and personal development.
• Apply psychological principles to promote the emotional and social growth of students.
• Aid in the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and modify teaching materials to accommodate diverse learners.
• Monitor and report on student progress, contributing to assessments and parent-teacher discussions.
• Support classroom management and encourage a positive learning atmosphere.
• Assist in preparing lesson materials, resources, and classroom displays.
• Supervise students during extracurricular activities, breaks, and school outings.
• Collaborate with educators, SEN coordinators, and other support staff to share insights and strategies.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and training sessions.

Requirements:
• A degree in Psychology or a related discipline.
• A sincere interest in pursuing a career in education and working with children.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
• Patience, empathy, and an understanding of the diverse needs of students.
• Ability to work flexibly and adapt to the evolving needs of the classroom.
• Basic IT skills for record-keeping and resource preparation.

Desirable (not mandatory):
• Previous experience working with children in any capacity (e.g., tutoring, mentoring, volunteering).
• Knowledge of various SEN conditions and strategies for support.
• Training in behavior management techniques.
• First Aid certification.
• An understanding of the local education system and community.
