Join our team at Spitalfields City Farm, a vibrant and multi-cultural community in the heart of London, where we work to provide educational opportunities and empower people to gain new skills and confidence.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Volunteer & Community Outreach Worker to enhance and expand our volunteer programme, provide pastoral support to volunteers, and develop strong community partnerships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive volunteer programme to engage and retain volunteers
  • Provide pastoral support to volunteers, including training, mentoring, and conflict resolution
  • Lead farm-based outdoor workshops to meet volunteer expectations and develop outdoor skills
  • Develop and maintain strong community partnerships to promote the farm's work and services
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in volunteer management and community outreach
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of the local community and its needs
