We are in search of both Mid-Range and Senior Embedded Systems Engineers for our client in Cheltenham.

We are looking for a highly qualified Embedded Systems Engineer to become part of our vibrant team on a 12-month contract in Cheltenham. This role presents an excellent chance to engage in a high-stakes project, contributing to the evolution of next-generation avionics systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and validate embedded software for avionics applications.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to establish system requirements and specifications.
  • Implement software solutions that adhere to rigorous safety and performance standards.
  • Conduct debugging and troubleshooting to guarantee optimal system performance.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring the highest quality and efficiency levels.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in embedded software development.
  • Expertise in programming languages such as C/C++.
  • Strong understanding of real-time operating systems (RTOS) and embedded Linux.
  • Experience with microcontrollers, microprocessors, and hardware interfacing.
  • Familiarity with software development tools and methodologies.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and the capacity to work effectively within a team.

Desirable:

  • Experience in avionics is highly beneficial.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations pertaining to avionics software.
  • Experience with safety-critical systems and DO-178C certification.
