About the Role

M O'Brien Plant Hire is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to take on the role of Quarry Manager within our sand quarry operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of the quarry, ensuring that all operations are carried out in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise a team of quarry personnel, providing guidance and support to ensure that all tasks are completed to the highest standard.
  • Oversee the operation of processing plant and equipment, ensuring that all machinery is properly maintained and that production targets are met.
  • Ensure compliance with quarry regulations and industry standards, including the Quarry Regulations 1999 and ACOP.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve quarry efficiency and productivity, while minimizing costs and environmental impact.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that quarry operations are aligned with company goals and objectives.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in quarry management, with a strong understanding of processing plant and equipment.
  • Knowledge of quarry regulations and industry standards, including the Quarry Regulations 1999 and ACOP.
  • Ability to manage and supervise a team of personnel, providing guidance and support to ensure that all tasks are completed to the highest standard.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions to improve quarry efficiency and productivity.
