Position: Individualized GCSE Tutor for Students with Special Needs

Compensation: £20 - £30 Per Hour

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct personalized tutoring sessions in GCSE English and Mathematics for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Develop tailored learning plans that cater to the unique needs and capabilities of each student
  • Facilitate engaging and interactive lessons aimed at enhancing students' comprehension and skills in English and Mathematics
  • Assess and monitor students' progress, providing consistent feedback to both students and their guardians
  • Work collaboratively with fellow educators and specialists to support the holistic development of students
Essential Qualifications:
  • Possession of Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience in teaching students with Special Educational Needs
  • Thorough understanding of the GCSE English and Mathematics curriculum
Educational Background:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Education or a related discipline is required
Professional Experience:
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in teaching GCSE English and Mathematics
  • Proven experience working with students with Special Educational Needs
Skills and Competencies:
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Capability to modify teaching methods to suit individual student requirements
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
  • Proficiency in utilizing educational technologies and resources
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Postgraduate qualification in Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Experience in conducting assessments and formulating individualized education plans
Work Environment:
  • This is a temporary role with Full-Time hours
  • The position may involve providing support to students in their residences
  • Flexibility in working hours may be necessary to accommodate students' schedules

All salary rates mentioned will include 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This position is temporary, with the potential for a permanent role in the future.
