Job Title: Fire Safety Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Safety Officer to join our team at Somerset County Council. As a Fire Safety Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety of our residents by conducting fire safety inspections, assessments, and reports.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct fire safety inspections and assessments to identify potential fire hazards and risks.
  • Develop and implement fire safety plans to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure fire safety is integrated into all aspects of our operations.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on fire safety procedures and protocols.
Requirements:
  • Qualification in Fire Risk Assessment and Management.
  • Experience working in the Housing sector in a similar role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
