Job Title: Work Permit Coordinator - Operations Excellence

Location: Global Operations

Job Type: Full-time

We are seeking a highly skilled Work Permit Coordinator to join our Operations Excellence team at DSM. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating and executing all work permit activities related to planned maintenance, emergent work, and project activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate all work permit activities, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and procedures.
  • Execute the permit to work process, including approval and issuance of permits via Permit Cliq.
  • Participate in the permit planning process for maintenance and project activities.
  • Coordinate the execution of all preparatory work by operations, ensuring efficient and safe handover of installations.
  • Own and maintain padlocks, spades, gas monitors, and other equipment required for permit to work.
  • Set high standards in Safety Culture & Housekeeping, directing and coaching staff and contractors on safe working practices.
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert for LSR's relating to permitted tasks.
  • Champion compliance with site procedures relating to all permitted activities.
  • Perform regular field visits, audits, and spot checks to ensure compliance.
  • Execute and assist with preparations for planned maintenance outages.
  • Complete and support the preparation and approvals of isolation check sheets, LEO forms, and supporting documents.
  • Ensure an effective permit hand-back process is maintained.
  • Ensure permit documentation standards are upheld.
  • Coordinate safeguarding of plant in preparation for permitted work.
  • Field checks on permitted activities to ensure mitigation actions are in place.
  • Improve the permit to workflow to enhance safety and efficiency.
  • Own the Permit Cliq system, housekeeping, data analysis, and KPI tracking.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant industrial supervisory experience.
  • HND or equivalent in a relevant subject desirable.
  • Proven track record in permit issuing and working with a safety mindset.
  • Leadership, teamwork, good communication skills, planning, and organizing.
