Job Opportunity: Experienced Sous Chef

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at a beautiful property in Waterford. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the kitchen brigade and contributing to the creation of exceptional dining experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage kitchen operations, ensuring efficient and effective use of resources.
  • Lead and develop the existing team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop menus and implement new culinary concepts.
  • Ensure high-quality food preparation and presentation, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and stock control, minimizing waste and optimizing costs.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a high-volume kitchen environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide the team.
  • Excellent culinary skills, with a focus on creativity, innovation, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
