About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our Finance Data Team at Lloyds Banking Group. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in the development of our new Finance data model, working closely with finance subject matter experts and other project staff to define data mapping and downstream consumption and integration requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement data engineering solutions to support our finance platform, leveraging cloud services at scale and expertise in ETL processes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and develop data models that meet their needs.
  • Support the coordination of activities across teams and act as the point of contact for queries around the system and associated reporting.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality data pipelines, ensuring data accuracy and speed.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a data engineer or related role, with a strong background in cloud services at scale and ETL processes.
  • Familiarity with finance/accountancy data/systems, specifically general ledger information.
  • Good understanding of data modeling and data architecture principles.
  • Desirable: exposure to Informatica tool.
