Deputy Manager Opportunity at Sunbeams Nursery

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Deputy Manager to join our team at Sunbeams Nursery in Atherton. As a Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Nursery Manager and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the nursery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Liaise with the Nursery Manager to provide daily support and guidance to the team.
  • Make decisions on the day-to-day running of the nursery in the absence of the Manager.
  • Follow all administrative procedures and ensure the nursery consistently meets the requirements set out in the Early Years Foundation Stage.
  • Monitor safeguarding issues and prepare the nursery for Ofsted inspections.
  • Assist in the training of staff and attend meetings as part of the management team.
Requirements:
  • Level 3 qualification in childcare or a related field.
  • Excellent knowledge of the EYFS and experience of working with children and families.
  • Previous room supervisor or deputy manager experience in a nursery environment.
  • Childcare experience: 2 years (preferred).
