Procurement and Supply Chain Director Opportunity

BJF Group is seeking an experienced Procurement and Supply Chain Director to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a pivotal role in driving our business forward by ensuring the smooth functioning of our supply chain and procurement processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the entire supply chain operations, leading on procurement, logistics, and inventory management to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Develop and implement strategies that align with our goals and market demands, including sustainability initiatives and risk management plans.
  • Coach and lead the purchasing team and organization in your area of expertise.
  • Provide strategic supply base management, including supplier selection, negotiations, and supplier relationship/performance management.
  • Drive continuous improvement in indirect material procurement and contracting.
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize cost savings and operational efficiency.
  • Identify and evaluate potential vendors and suppliers based on quality, price, and reliability.
  • Oversee the procurement process, including requisition, sourcing, purchasing, and delivery.
  • Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues or disputes that may arise.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and requirements.
  • Stay abreast of market trends, economic factors, and regulatory changes that may impact procurement.
Requirements:
  • Member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (MCIPS) Professional Diploma in Purchasing & Supply (Level 6) or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
  • Experience of single and 2-stage procurement routes from setting project-specific procurement strategy to final draft of subcontract documents.
  • Commercial negotiation scope, price, payment terms, and conditions of purchase or subcontract.
  • Experience of utilizing Power BI for enhancing Procurement analytics.
