Financial Assurance Manager

At Allwyn UK, we're embarking on a transformative journey to create a better, safer National Lottery that delivers more money to good causes. As our Finance and Assurance Manager, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the effectiveness of our control environment and risk management practices.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead a team of four, including an Assurance Manager, two Assurance Analysts, and a graduate trainee, to embed Assurance, Compliance, and Risk frameworks across Finance and Trust.
- Support the Finance Director and wider Finance team to implement, execute, and monitor the National Lottery licence conditions, Matters to be protected, Trust Deed, and Fund Protection policies.
- Provide assurance through regular reporting, updates, KPIs, and dashboards to the Finance Director, CFO, and Governance committees on the effectiveness of Allwyn's control environment.
- Evaluate and enhance the Finance self-assessment control framework and risk register, identifying areas for continuous improvement.
- Act as the primary interface between the Finance function and the central Assurance function, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- ACA or ACCA qualified accountant with an audit and/or compliance, regulatory, and assurance background.
- Bright, highly analytical, and intellectually agile, with the ability to learn and manage complexity quickly.
- High level of integrity and independence, with strong commercial acumen and strategic mindset.
- Experience of leadership and operating at a senior leadership level within Risk, Compliance, and/or Internal Audit.
