Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Project Outreach and Engagement Officer - Horticulture Provision. This is a full-time, fixed-term role that will see the successful candidate focused on recruiting students onto our developing horticulture provision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement an effective outreach and student engagement strategy to recruit students to our horticulture offer.
  • Monitor feedback and outcomes from the outreach and student engagement strategy, gathering insights and making recommendations for improvement.
  • Maintain a detailed understanding of our curriculum, particularly our horticulture offer and recruitment priorities, and act as an ambassador for the college promoting the offer at every opportunity.
  • Increase and maintain a network of referral partners to recruit new students and raise the profile of the college.
  • Present the college offer to referral partners and prospective students through formal presentations and informal opportunities.
Requirements
  • Proven experience of forming and sustaining effective partnerships with community organizations.
  • Proven experience of forming and sustaining effective partnerships with statutory organizations, such as job centers and local authorities.
  • Experience of identifying and addressing potential barriers to accessing education for adults.
  • Working knowledge of support services and referral mechanisms for adults in areas such as employment support, mental health, and wellbeing.
  • English and Maths at Level 2 or above.
  • Evidence of a commitment to Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
